Swinging in the Breeze with Southern Girls

This week over at SGC we would love to see projects with banners and/or pennants.  I love me some pennants and of course Trace and I come up with the themes so yep - pennants and banners it is ;)

This week we have 2 of our new ladies starting with the team so make sure and drop by and check out their projects.

Here is my card for this challenge, I have used a wonderful background from Make it Crafty who are one of our fabby sponsors this challenge.

I also used a Saturated Canary image layered in PSE over the MIC background.  The images are coloured with prisma pencils on watercolour paper and this time I blended with odourless mineral spirits to blend, normally I don't bother.  The papers are Sweetest thing by My minds eye.

Here is a close up of the images

and a close of of the lovely pennants :)

Thanks loads for dropping by - happy creating.

Pocket Scrapbooking with Kaisercraft Hello Sunshine - Scottie Crafts

This week I am using the Hello Sunshine Collection to do some pocket scrapbooking.  I used a 4x4 pocket protector from the WRMK multi pack.  It is a fun size, although a little awkward if you are using precut 3x4 cards, I had to do a bit of trimming and jigging.

As you can see though it looked really cool once it was all finished.

After printing my photos I matted them onto a mx of co-ordinating cardstock and 4x3 Project Life White Cardstock cards.

I then cut my 12x12 into 9 peices of 4x4, then trimmed to mat onto cardstock.  I added my photos and then embellished with alphas, washi tape and stickers.

I used both the A & B sides of the 12x12 to mix the patterns up.
The end result is fun and colourful and perfect for pocket scrapping as it is interesting to look at.

Thanks loads for joining me today - Happy Scrapping :)

A Valentines for Hubbster

So I was feeling like I REALLY needed to create something this afternoon. It is too hot outside and my craft room is nice and cool :)  So with it having been Valentines Day on Friday I decided to make hubby a card....

I have used an image from A Day for Daisies called Mailing Love printed on watercolour paper and coloured with prismapencils.  The papers are My Minds Eye "Love Me" from a 6x6 pad.  The cardstock is American Crafts.

Above is a close up of the coloured image you can see I dotted around the image with liquid pearls.

The stamping was done with a stampset from Elles Studio  called Love You More which came in the February Noel Mignon scrapbook kit, I have used Stampin Up ink in Groovy Guava and Riding Hood Red.

This photo is a close up of the flowers which came from Wild Orchid Crafts in the UK, the prices are really reasonable and the shipping is very cheap internationally.  I added some Frosted Lace stickles to the flowers with a paintbrush to add some shine.

Thanks loads for dropping by today, I hope you are having a lovely weekend :)

I am entering my card in the following challenges -
A Day For Daisies - Use a big heart - I used 2 so I hope that counts
Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog - add a gem, glitter candy

KaiserCraft Hello Sunshine Collection - Mon 2 Fri Layout

Hello, Tuesday again already and a very good day for me to be posting this layout as my lovely big boys are back to school today.
I have used their school photo from last year for this layout, the image is owned by PHOTOLIFE STUDIOS.
I have used the super cute new Hello Sunshine collection by Kaisercraft for my layout...

To save on cardstock I layered my green chevron paper onto the 12x12 sheet and cut it out with a scalpel before layering my Giggle paper (black checks) on and sticking down.

I stamped the banner and pennants from the Hello Sunshine stampset in versamark on black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder to give the look of a blackboard, I also used an off cut of black and hand printed letters with a picket fence distress marker....

And then layered all my elements and added some pieces from the Hello Sunshine collectables.

Thanks loads for joining me today, happy scrapping :)
