Scotties Crafts - Violet Crush - Precious Layout

Hello - time for my layout this week for Scottie Crafts :)  This is my last week designing with the fantastic Kaisercraft Violet Crush Collection  which looks like it is selling well in the shop as there aren't many links left.  I have used a photo of my daughter when she was just a little dot and her Nana....

I made a base of white cardstock and cut a peice of 12x12 Musk paper to size.  I layered lots of my leftover pieces of papers from the collection and a couple from the 6x6 paper pad.   I also added a doilie to my layers.  I also used some Prima flowers in the corners.
I cut the strip that has the paper name up as a journalling as it had this lovely quote on the reverse which matched my photo perfectly.

I added a couple of strips out of the collectables package from the Violet Crush collection under the photo.

Thanks for joining me this week, happy scrapping :)

Scotties Crafts - Kaisercraft Violet Crush Layout - Time Tested

Today I would like to share a layout of my good friend Becks and I, made using the Kaisercraft Violet Crush collection.  We have been friends since we met at boarding school the day we started way back in 1990 :)  We catch up at Christmas every year when she comes home to see her mum and dad.

To start my background I screwed off the top of a mist and painted it on the white cardstock  under where my photo layer would be so it was going to show out the sides....

I then chose a butterfly from Stacy Stamps Butterfly Free set and painted some picket fence distress paint on it with a paintbrush so it was well covered....

I then worked out the placement and stamped it on the corner of my painted section being sure it would show one the photo layer was stuck down.....

I gave the whole lot a quick dry with my heatgun to be sure that my adhesive would stick.  I then put down my photo and layers which I had assembled earlier which include papers from the 6x6 pad and violet crush collectables.

I then added my title and stamped the date....

Thanks loads for joining me today :)  Happy Scrapping.

Scotties Crafts - Hey Scruff Layout

This week for Scotties I would like to share this layout of my daughter with a photo taken on instagram....

I layered my photo with a selection of the papers linked above and layered some diecuts from the 6x6 Violet Crush pad under the photo. I also diecut a Memory Box Pippi Butterfly from one of the speciality papers in the pad with my cuttlebug and glued in the top corner of my photo.  I cut a border with a border punch to add interest along the bottom edge of the grouping.
Next I cut my title using my cricut and core-diations cardstock.  I ran my letters through an embossing die on my cuttlebug and sanded them back.

Up in the corner I added a small cluster of paper strips and a punched heart to balance the page.

Thanks loads for visiting the blog today, happy scrapping :)
